Field Trips

Hee Haw Farms wants to help you "plant" a love for reading in your school children and allow them to "harvest" the rewards that come from reaching a reading goal. This goal will be set by you as their teacher and encourage them to read a certain number of either pages or books. We will also be hosting our exciting and educational field trips this year.

Each class will have an opportunity to learn more about animals and agriculture in an authentic farm environment. Each child will be delighted when they get to pick their own miniature pumpkin or gourd to use in a classroom activity or take home at the end of their visit. New for our school groups this year is potato digging. Each class will be able to dig a few potatoes to take back to the classroom to cook or use in craft projects. We want children to understand how important farming is in our everyday food.

Each field trip includes the following:

  • A trip through the corn maze with an educational passport
  • A class hayride
  • A visit to Animal Alley with the farm animals
  • A free mini pumpkin or gourd
  • A free coloring activity booklet
  • Class potato digging

Hee Haw Farms also has 'Corn'gratulation on Reading Passes that are available FREE upon your request. This is a great way to reward your students for reading.

Field trips last approximately 1 ½ hour. You may bring lunch to the farm and have after/before. Field trips can be scheduled September 25 – October 31, Tuesdays & Wednesdays for elementary age classes and Thursdays & Fridays for pre-school ages and run between 9 am and 1 pm. If there is a schedule conflict with those days, we may be able to make other arrangements.

$2.00/student for public school groups
$2.50/student for preschool groups
$3.50/student for home school groups

Teachers and chaperones are no charge. General rule: 1 chaperone per 5 children.

The difference in prices is due to the typical size of each kind of group. To schedule a visit, please submit our Reservation Form, or call 368-4335.
